A beauty contest will be held in Liepaja and Daugavpils.
After a long hiatus, applications for the “Miss & Mrs. Elite 2026 Final” beauty pageant, which will take place in March of this year, are now open. Organizers reported that the first applications from potential participants were received even before the official announcement.
A meeting with the media, cooperation partners, and the beauty pageant organizers took place at the Promenade Hotel, one of the event’s sponsors.
The competition is organized by the Elite Beauty Queens association, owned by Mainots Vecvagars.
The press conference took place on a special day, the association’s eighth anniversary. But this was an unplanned coincidence.
The application process officially opened the day after the press conference, November 11, but 10 applications had already been received before then, as pageant director Elina Senkeviča told Kurzemes Vārdam.
The planned number of participants is approximately 30 women. Although the selection process is open to all interested parties, preference will be given to women from Liepāja.
Contestants will compete in two categories. “Miss Liepāja 2026” is for unmarried women aged 18 to 24 who do not have children. Mrs. Liepaja 2026 is for contestants aged 20 to 45 and older.
E. Senkevicha emphasizes: “We truly want to see women who are mothers, women who have already achieved something in life and continue to strive for more – women with a story, courage, charisma, and a desire to grow.”
“Beauty pageants have long focused more on appearance. Now we’re seeing a different trend…”
“They are increasingly positioned as a testament to a woman’s inner strength, her values, and her balance between work, family, and femininity. Because a woman can be both goal-oriented and feminine, and at the same time inspire others,” said Senkevicha, emphasizing the values of the association she represents.
The competition in Liepaja will be part of the international “Elite Beauty Queens” project, which M. Večvagars has headed since 2017.
He has organized similar competitions in India, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
The next international pageant is planned for Cyprus. The winners of “Miss and Mrs. Liepaja 2026” will have the opportunity to represent Latvia at this ambitious event.
Aleksandra Kurusova, a dance teacher, winner of the TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” owner of a trampoline fitness studio, and a well-known figure, has become the chair of the competition’s jury.
“This competition isn’t just about choosing dresses or winning titles. It’s a competition of courage, inner growth, and feminine strength.”
“I believe this event will change people’s lives,” says A. Kurusova.
The jury will include former beauty pageant winners Marika Gederte, Liene Kiviča, and Marina Grosa, as well as representatives of other professions.
The patrons of the competition are socially active Liepaja residents Salvis and Linda Rogas, parents of three children.
The competition program will last three days. There will be evening gowns and swimsuits on display, a stylized parade of national costumes, and a talent show showcasing each participant’s unique skills. However, the real work will begin after registration for the competition.
“Each participant will become an ambassador for a social project.”
“This could be helping large families, working with animal shelters, or working with children. Because this competition is not only about beauty but also about social responsibility,” says producer M. Večvagars, who has been involved with Liepāja for 20 years and recently purchased real estate there.
The national beauty contest “Miss & Mrs. Elite Daugavpils 2026” is presented in Daugavpils
On December 10, 2025, a press conference for the national beauty pageant “Miss & Mrs. Elite Daugavpils 2026” was held at the Mark Rothko Museum. The competition is represented in Latvia by the international organization for women’s development and beauty pageants, Elite Beauty Queens. During the event, the competition concept, participation requirements, areas of collaboration, and initial jury highlights were presented.
At the press conference, it was emphasized that in the coming years, national competitions are planned to be held in all cultural and historical regions of Latvia, creating a unified and professional platform for women at the national level.
Daugavpils has the potential to become the center of the Elite Beauty Queens selection process in Latgale, attracting participants from across the region and transforming the city into a true celebration of femininity, culture, and inspiration.
“We see that women across Latvia are yearning for events that truly change their lives—not only externally but also internally.” “Elite Beauty Queens offers a professional platform that boosts self-esteem, develops posture, public speaking skills, and feminine strength,” emphasizes Daria Sargun, Elite Beauty Queens’ Latgale Regional Director.
The competition will feature six finalists from each region of Latvia in each category, who will compete for titles in the grand national final. The competition format allows for the possibility of rotating the finals location annually. The winners will have the opportunity to represent Latvia at international competitions, where Elite Beauty Queens’ national directors already work in 15 countries.
In 2025, Elite Beauty Queens celebrated its 8th anniversary, emphasizing the stable development and strengthening of a strong female community.
We are especially proud to announce that Alisa Miškovska, one of Latvia’s most decorated international beauty pageant contestants and winners, a professional figure skating coach, and entrepreneur, has become the patron of the “Miss & Mrs. Daugavpils Elite 2026” competition.
Alisa’s charisma, discipline, and life philosophy will inspire the contestants, reinforcing the message of feminine strength, elegance, determination, and emotional growth.

Daria Sarguna’s message to the women of Latgale
“I’m a wife, mother, fitness trainer, and now the regional director of Elite Beauty Queens in Latgale. My work has always been about women—their strength, fragility, courage, and desire to become the best version of themselves. I’ve competed in four beauty pageants and know how life-changing this experience can be.
Beauty isn’t just a crown. It’s an inner light that no one can take away. I’m here to help women reclaim their voice, confidence, and freedom.”
Daria’s goal is to develop the women’s community in Latgale, support charitable initiatives, and create an environment where every woman feels seen, heard, and genuinely valued.
